This lay brotherhood was founded in 1984 and this Saint was sculpted by Sir Jose Zamorano. This sculpture represents the moment when Pilatos was washing his hands because he didn't want "to know anything" about Jesus. He decided that Jewish people had to choose if Jesus should be crucified or not instead of Barrabas. In this image Jesus appears captured and tied, and behind him, Pilatos is washing his hands and a servant is offering him a towel. This Saint is usually decorated with roses. Penitents from this lay wear a white robe, with a deep red and white cord and a deep red cape and hood. Shoes must be dark blue or black.
The walking stick is covered with gold and at the top it has the symbol of the lay brotherhood which is a thorn crown crossed by a stick.
